About Us – Kat Agdinaoay
she/her/hers
I graduated from BGSU in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I moved to Columbus in 1983 and worked several different jobs. I worked at Tradewinds, a bead and import store and then went on to work for 12 years at Byzantium, another amazing bead and import store. I got my Massage license in 1986 and have 2nd level reiki training. I’ve always been interested in health/wellness and was an avid weight lifter at one point.
I worked at Wild Oats/Whole Foods from 1998- 2019 in the Vitamins/Supplements/ Body Care department. I really liked learning about nutritional supplements/herbs/essential oils and also have enjoyed making many of my own body care products. I also felt great about helping people that came into the store realize that they can take an active role in their own health!
I discovered Urban Acupuncture after a rotator cuff surgery in 2010. I had done all the physical therapy and had even rigged up a pulley system at home to keep stretching my shoulder but had lingering pain and somewhat limited mobility six months after my surgery. I made an appointment with Steve and in one session the pain I had was gone. I know it’s not always that fast- but I was very impressed with the care I received and returned over the years for more treatments for various issues. I also shared- and continue to share my positive experiences with many people who I believe could potentially benefit from acupuncture.
Steve has trusted me with the task of bringing more products for sale and I’ve enjoyed trying to find items that will enrich your lives and your healing journey.
I am mom to 4 cats and in my free time I make jewelry, paint rocks, cook and anything else I can conjure up. I appreciate a good dad joke and am insatiably curious. I love reading and usually have a couple of books going at the same time. My current fave is Braiding Sweetgrass. Cannot recommend it enough!
I feel incredibly blessed to help support and be a part of this amazing team!
