alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new exhibition of artwork by Jonathan Juravich&#8217;s first grade students at Liberty Tree Elementary School is on display at the Clintonville location.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>French Impressionistic painter Claude Monet loved painting water lilies and the Japanese bridge that crossed this pond. \u00a0He painted with a style that was loose, expressive, and gave the impression of floating flowers&#8230;<em>not<\/em> a photo-realistic view.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Max is a contemporary artist\u00a0who works with layers of paint, oil pastels, and other mixed-media to create works of art.\u00a0 Max often produces images that are based upon famous works of art.\u00a0 He says that he is not out to \u201cfix\u201d a beloved image, but to honor the artist and put his own spin on the painting!<\/p>\n<p>First grade students worked like Peter Max as they paid homage to the famous painter Claude Monet.\u00a0 They collaged photographs of water lily flowers on to photocopies of Monet\u2019s paintings.\u00a0 They then built up layers of marker, paint, and oil pastels to create images inspired by these two diverse artists.\u00a0 Each completed image is as unique and expressive as the individual student artist.<\/p>\n<p><span class='st_facebook' st_title='Water Lily Reflections'
