<\/a><\/p>\nMy Photo Transfer Print technique is similar to the Monotype printmaking process.\u00a0 A<\/p>\n
traditional Monotype print is an image drawn or painted on a metal or glass plate,<\/p>\n
then covered with a sheet of paper and passed through a press.\u00a0 In a Photo Transfer<\/p>\n
Print a digital image is printed on a sheet of acetate where the ink remains wet on<\/p>\n
the surface.\u00a0 Placing a sheet of paper over the acetate and applying pressure<\/p>\n
transfers the ink to the paper.\u00a0 The resulting image possesses a combination of<\/p>\n
highly textured and smooth tonal areas determined by the density of the ink.\u00a0 The<\/p>\n
Japanese Silk Tissue paper on which the images are printed creates delicate fine<\/p>\n
detail and a warm luminosity.<\/p>\n
