The needle of a compass points north and by doing so, the other directions are easily found.<\/p>\n
Before I found acupuncture, I was searching for direction. The trail led me to various jobs, accolades and a college degree, but I couldn\u2019t help but feel something was missing. It wasn\u2019t until I began to experience my own challenges with health, emotions and faith that I decided to try acupuncture. After a few treatments at Urban Acupuncture, I felt such magnetism toward the field of acupuncture that I hardly noticed my own challenges start to fade. My direction felt clear; to help others through their own challenges.<\/p>\n
I am so fortunate to have found Urban Acupuncture as a patient and am honored to work for such a talented group of healers. Their compassion serves as my inspiration as I complete my Master\u2019s Degree in Acupuncture from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine (AIAM).<\/p>\n

When I first began attending college my major was Psychology. The mind and it\u2019s infinite complexity is still a source of fascination for me to this day. It was while attending school with the intent of becoming a psychologist (and working an eclectic array of jobs) that I injured my knee. My dear friend had just returned from California having had completed his acupuncture schooling and convinced me to come in and receive a treatment. I did so and was amazed by the almost instant relief I got from my pain. I found this intriguing however was not totally convinced of the efficacy of this method until I seriously injured my rotator cuff. It took a series of several treatments this time but the results were the same and it then that I knew that acupuncture was not only legitimate but a field which I was even more captivated by than I was by psychology.<\/p> After discussing it with my friend and looking into the program I enrolled at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine, graduated and am now a Licensed Acupuncturist by the Ohio Medical board and a Nationally Certified Acupuncturist through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM). Aside from practicing at Urban Acupuncture I also practice out of Muirfield Massage in Dublin and Kinsale Golf and Fitness in Powell.<\/p> When I\u2019m not at one of the clinics doing what I love, you may find me playing tennis, at the driving range or the batting cage. I love my morning meditation and tai chi routine and enjoy working out with a buddy whether its running, lifting or doing 12 ounce curls and watching some Buckeye football.<\/p> A host of enlightening life experiences, an intuitive nature and an unconditional positive regard for people have been crucial in my development in a form of medicine where energetics play as much of a role as technical skill.
